Whether you are trying to conceive or already pregnant, having a well functioning nervous system and an aligned pelvis creates the ideal environment for the uterus to support a healthy pregnancy. At Healthy Start Chiropractic, we strive to support you as your body goes through one of the biggest transformations, creating a new life. There are several physical and hormonal changes that occur in preparation for creating the environment for the developing baby. When in balance, your nervous system allows your body the ability to optimize position, growth, development and connection with the newest member of your family.

Consistent chiropractic care can allow you to experience:

  • Healthier and more comfortable pregnancy
  • Increase in neural communication
  • More room for baby to grow
  • Controlled symptoms of nausea
  • Reduced time of labor and delivery
  • Relief of back, neck or joint pain
  • Fewer interventions such as inductions and pain medications
  • Prevent a potential cesarean delivery

Webster Technique - Safe and Effective for Pregnant Women

Dr. Angie Recendez is Webster Certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. This specific chiropractic approach has been proven to be safe and effective for pregnant women. The Webster Technique enables balance in the pregnant woman’s pelvis and reduces undue stress to her uterus and supporting ligaments.

Prenatal Chiropractic Care is especially important for a pregnant woman if a spinal and pelvic misalignment is present. This is because the pelvis is misaligned or shifted which may reduce the amount of room available for the developing baby. This restriction is called intrauterine constraint.

With a balanced pelvis, babies have a greater chance of moving into the correct position for birth avoiding the crisis and worry associated with breech and posterior presentations. Optimal baby positioning at the time of birth eliminates the potential for dystocia (difficult labor) resulting in easier and safer deliveries for both the mother and baby.
